I am glad to note the establishment of this website

After long time of hesitation

I finally purchased this small server at Vultr at a price of 5$ per month

got a hard time figuring out that user has to mannually set up firewall rule in Vultr website setting

which by default denies everything but ssh at port 22

But quite satisfying afterwards

especially the moment seeing Caddy2 serving my content with automatic https to the public

awesome!

Though Vultr offers a much higher price than Aliyun

and also has trap server like the 2.5 or 3.5$ ones

(they works, but not so much, the actual memory seems to be much lower than 512M as claimed on the production page

which makes it only suitable for static website hosting or cloud storage like Nextcloud)

So I choosed the 5$ plan finally, that means twice as my original budget, but whatever, let's see whether I get what I pay.

future plan

• make a nice looking blogging theme with guile haunt and kiss css
• somehow implement a commenting system with rust Rocket and websocket (You might ask why, well, It seems impossible for me to install GNU Artanis on Debian 11, while the latter seems only available on Guix System in practice...)
• embed the commenting system into the static website (can we use guile hoot instead of javascript here? Technically of course we can, but whatever! That's not a problem I shall worry about now!)
